Basecamp & Venue
For 2027, Ruta del Jefe is proud to partner with Borderlands Restoration Network as our host organization. Basecamp will be located at Borderlands Restoration Network's Native Plant Nursery and Seed Lab, just one mile north of Patagonia, Arizona.
Nestled at the foot of the Patagonia Mountains, the nursery provides a beautiful, central, and accessible gathering place for the Ruta del Jefe community.
Camping will take place in a spacious grassy field surrounded by native landscapes and mountain views. Expect vibrant sunrises, glowing sunsets, dark star-filled skies, and a welcoming atmosphere at the foot of the Patagonia Mountains.
Throughout the weekend, Basecamp will serve as the hub for meals, workshops, presentations, music, storytelling, fundraising activities, and shared experiences that bring the Ruta del Jefe community together.

For 2027, we're excited to partner with Tucson-based Ensenada Street Food, an all-women-owned and operated catering company known for its fresh Baja-inspired cuisine and commitment to quality ingredients.
Throughout the weekend, participants will enjoy thoughtfully prepared breakfasts and dinners featuring a variety of options, including meat, vegan, and vegetarian options, as well as gluten-free options.
